Protected Industrial Action – work stoppages implemented

The Australian Education Union (AEU) is undertaking Protected Industrial Action as part of state-wide bargaining for a new industrial agreement for TAFE teachers.

The AEU has planned stop work action to take place for 24 hours on Wednesday 21 August starting at 6am.

We are doing everything we can to support students and reduce the impact of the stop work action.

We will inform our students and key stakeholders directly via regular communications channels of any impacts and alternative measures we are putting in place to minimise disruptions.

Kangan Institute is committed to working with stakeholders to put in place necessary mitigating measures in response to protected industrial action.

Kangan Institute recognises the right of AEU members to choose whether to participate in protected industrial action and respects the right of all staff to express their voice. Protected industrial action is only available to teaching staff that are AEU members.

For enquiries please phone 13 TAFE.
