The Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416) is designed to give you the skills and hands-on experience required to work in any top salon as a qualified hairdresser.

You will learn how to:

  • Long hair styling
  • Shampoo and treatment application
  • Create solid, graduated and layered haircuts
  • Bleach, colour and lighten hair
  • Neutralise unwanted colours and tones
  • Provide highlighting treatments
  • Cut hair using comb over techniques
  • Straighten and relax hair with chemical treatments

  • Develop and expand your client base.

Our course delivery features a combination of on-campus and remote (online) learning. This flexibility allows our students to continue to study in a safe, guided and supported manner.

Employment Opportunities

This course leads to employment as a hairdresser in a hairdressing salon. You may also work as a session stylist for photography shoots or as a hairdresser in film and television.

Qualifications

Upon completion of the course you will be awarded the Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416). As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised.
