Kangan Institute - 2012 Victorian Training Awards Finalist

Congratulations to the 2012 Victorian Training Awards finalists!

Finalists in 14 categories have been announced by the Minister for Higher Education and Skills, the Hon Peter Hall, with Kangan Institute emerging as a finalist in three categories.

Now in their 58th year, the Victorian Training Awards reward outstanding achievement and innovation in vocational education and training as well as acknowledge the strong partnerships between training providers and Victorian businesses that play an essential role in ensuring a strong skills base for Victoria.

Kangan Institute is a finalist in the following categories:

  • Victorian Large Training Provider of the Year Award, Victorian Teacher/Trainer of the Year Award (finalist: Brian Martin from Kangan Institute's Indigenous Education Centre) and 
  • Victorian Industry Collaboration Award (Kangan Institute and the Textile Fashion Industries of Australia). 

Other 2012 finalists include students, apprentices, trainees, teachers, employers, support staff and training organisations from across the state.

Winners may be selected to represent Victoria at the Australian Training Awards in Brisbane in November.

The 2012 Victorian Training Awards will be held on Friday 24th August at the Palladium at Crown.
