Kangan Institute and Mantra Hotel Tullamarine: Partnering to Provide Opportunities

Kangan Institute has partnered with the Mantra Hotel Tullamarine to give students the opportunity to gain a Diploma of Hospitality (Hotel Operations), five months of work experience on their CV and potentially a career in the palm of their hands!

Hospitality hopefuls have the opportunity to complete a five-month hotel industry placement across various departments within the Mantra Hotel Tullamarine, with jobs offered to select students upon completion!

Shawn Vlaeminck, manager Hospitality at Kangan Institute said that this partnership will be a great opportunity for young people to work towards employment and also gain a qualification that could take them anywhere in the world.

Students will work in rotations through all departments of the hotel. This allows them to develop vital skills knowledge in all areas of hospitality management; food and beverage service, reception operations, accommodation services, events, marketing, leadership and finance.

Those who don’t feel that they are ready to dive in the deep end of the hospitality pool can first train in the Industry Preparation so that they are prepared for work in the hotel before they even arrive. They will then progress to concurrently study the 12 month Diploma of Hospitality (Hotel Operations).
