The conference also sought to share knowledge and experiences on TVET and other human resource development issues amongst the public and private sectors, training providers, academics/educators, and to forge new business relationships with other players in the sector.
Kangan Institute's senior international project manager Beverley Jefferies presented a paper on Industry Engagement and Developing Vocational Competence of VET Practitioners along with renowned speakers from Malaysia, Australia, Germany, International Labour Organisation (ILO) - Switzerland, United States of America and India.
The conference attracted over 400 delegates from Malaysia and abroad- policy makers, managers, principals, researchers, educators, human resources practitioners, administrators and planners.
A Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was attended by the Malaysian Chief Minister of Sarawak and key ministers, including the Minister for Community Welfare.
