Eligible students will soon be able to access free training at Kangan Institute in the courses that lead to jobs most in demand from Victorian employers.
Kangan Institute is now taking enrolments for Free TAFE for Priority Courses that begin in 2019. The Victorian Government will pay tuition fees for priority accredited and pre-apprenticeship courses for eligible students starting 1st January next year.
Free TAFE and apprenticeship pathway courses are available at Kangan Institute campuses across automotive, construction, community services, disability services, health, infrastructure, agriculture and professional services fields.
These courses include*:
Broadmeadows campus
| Moonee Ponds campus
|
The free courses respond to a massive demand for skilled workers due to Victoria's unprecedented building boom of road and rail projects, new schools and hospitals, as well as increased support for Victorians living with disability and historic action to curb family violence.
More than ever, the skills required for these high-demand jobs are learned at TAFE.
Free TAFE for Priority Courses removes the financial barrier for students wanting to undertake quality, accredited TAFE training that gives them the skills they need to secure real jobs building our state and caring for our community.
Quotes attributable to Trevor Schwenke, CEO of Kangan Institute
