New global partnerships to drive automotive training excellence in Cambodia

Kangan Institute is joining forces with the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and RMA Group to enhance the skills of the automotive workforce in Cambodia.

Through our parent company Bendigo Kangan Institute, memorandum of understanding (MOU) agreements were signed with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and RMA Group this week.

The agreements will involve working together to grow Cambodia's technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector, build training pathways for the automotive workforce and enhance skills and ambitions of Cambodia’s young people through an Automotive Centre of Excellence.

Together, we aim to empower the country’s future automotive workforce, equipping them with the expertise needed to support their communities and contribute to Cambodia's growth.

The partnership will offer world-class training and education built on Kangan Institute’s established model of success in Australia and India.

(We are also working with RMA Group to drive automotive training excellence.)

Kangan Institute's Automotive Centre of Excellence sets the standard for automotive training in Australia. It is the largest purpose-built automotive training facility in the southern hemisphere, skilling more than 5,000 students each year across more than 26 specialised course areas in world-class workshops with industry-leading facilities.

Kangan Institute is also a knowledge partner for the International Automobile Centre of Excellence in the Indian State of Gujarat, in partnership with Maruti Suzuki and the State Government of Gujarat.

Comments attributed to Bendigo Kangan Institute Chief Executive Officer, Sally Curtain:

“It is clear that both Bendigo Kangan Institute and the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training are passionate about working together to support the next generation, who will build the industries of the future in Cambodia.

“By working together, we hope to make a lasting impact towards Cambodia’s TVET sector and workforce development.

“Bendigo Kangan Institute is eager to leverage its expertise, along with the Ministry and RMA Group to develop local talent and position Cambodia as a leader in automotive innovation."
