Christopher hopes to find a job in light vehicles and has enrolled in our Certificate II in Automotive Studies (Pre-Vocational) to achieve his goal.
“I studied IT at first but I didn’t feel like it was the path for me. I realised a career in automotive could be a better fit for me,” he said.
“Kangan Institute’s Automotive Centre of Excellence is an excellent training facility and the teachers have been great so far. My goal is to secure work placement and eventually find a job working with light vehicles.”
His journey with Kangan Institute is not all work and no play. Christopher is part of the Kangan Institute Cricket Academy launched in partnership with Cricket Victoria, a program aimed at boosting the health and wellbeing amongst students.
“I haven’t played too much cricket before so I thought this was a good opportunity to gain some basic skills. If I end up really enjoying the sport, I can play more and perhaps join a team.”
